The Texas State Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC) brings together Austin Community College, Texas State University-San Marcos and Temple College at Taylor. Together, these schools provide academic programs that will help students achieve their goals and realize their dreams.
In the One-Stop Center (OSC, Suite 201) staff are waiting to provide information and assistance for a variety of services. Many are available online, such as updating your student information. Staff will be available to answer questions if needed. Other services, such as advising, will be delivered in person. More details about some services are provided below.
So we can use our limited staff as efficiently as possible, some services are only available at scheduled times. Go to www.rrhec.txstate.edu for details. These services include academic advising, ACC Learning Lab and testing.
An automated check-in system helps staff provide accurate instructions for the services you request, while managing traffic efficiently during peak times.

Academic advisors are here to help you get the most out of your college experience by providing thorough academic counseling at the Texas State University Round Rock Higher Education Center.
Academic advising for current Texas State students is provided by academic advisors and/or faculty. All students wishing to meet with a Texas State advisor are required to make an appointment.

A Service Specialist is available on a limited basis to visit with you about personal issues. You may be referred to the Texas State Counseling Clinic on the first floor if you desire continued assistance.
If you want assistance in choosing a career, a Service Specialist will provide information and guidance. You may choose to take an assessment that will provide you with career suggestions based on your unique qualities. The Career Exploration Center on the first floor will provide additional assistance if needed.
The Counseling Clinic and Career Exploration Center do charge a small fee ($1-$20), based on your ability to pay for extended service.

A service specialist is available to assists students with disabilities with achieving their educational goals and enhancing their leadership development. Services for students enrolled at the RRHEC are coordinated by the Texas State Service Specialist in the One Stop Center. The processes for accessing some services and accommodations at the RRHEC may differ from those described for the Texas State-San Marcos campus.
If you have documentation of a disability and want to register with the Office of Disability Services (ODS), you will need to complete a Confidential Student Information form (available upon request) and provide a copy of your disability documentation to the ODS Liaison. This information will be sent to the ODS office on the main campus at Texas State for review. A student must meet the criteria outlined in at least one of the ODS disability guidelines to qualify for services and accommodations at Texas State University-San Marcos and the RRHEC.
Following a review of the disability documentation, you will be contacted by an ODS representative for an appointment to review your approved accommodations. If the documentation submitted does not meet Texas State criteria an ODS specialist will contact you to discuss what additional information is needed.

A service specialist is available to review the documentation needed in order to establish and maintain your benefits at Texas State.
To apply for veterans education benefits, you will need to:
1) Gain admittance to Texas State
2) Declare a major & get an official Degree Outline
3) Determine which U. S. Dept. of V.A. benefit program(s) (chapters) you are eligible for
4) If you are applying for Ch 31 (Voc. Rehab), establish eligibility
5) Complete the required forms for the program(s) (chapter) you are applying for
6) Gather any required supporting documents (marriage or birth certificate, etc)
7) Turn in completed application to the Texas State Office of Veterans Affairs or to the RRHEC VA Liaison. Applications are processed through the U.S. Veterans Administration Regional Office in Muskogee, OK.

Texas State BobcatCards will be distributed through the OSC. OSC staff will take your picture and you can pick up the card two-three working days later from the front desk. For questions, please contact Tracy Rawls at 512-716-4020 or email at TR22@txstate.edu. ACC cards for students at RRHEC can be taken and distributed the same day.
The OSC accepts ONLY cash, check or money order for TEXAS STATE payments and fees. Tuition payments made in the OSC must be made at least 24 hours prior to the payment deadline. Credit card or e-check payments must be made online or in person at the Cashier's Office in San Marcos. The OSC accepts ONLY check or money order for ACC parking permits. All other payments and fees, and other forms of payment must be made at another ACC location.
Texas State Testing:
A Service Assistant will assist with scheduling tests in the OSC Testing Room. These tests include academic online classes, GSP, distance learning and correspondence. Students requiring accommodations should also contact the OSC Service Assistant. Some tests will require payment of a fee. Tests are by appointment only.
