Transfer Checklist-More than 45 hours

I HAVE completed 45 hours.

How do I get started at The RRHEC?

 Step 1

Verify that the degree program you are interested in is available here:

 Step 1

Apply to Texas State University-San Marcos (www.applytexas.org) *

Send Official Transcripts to:

Office of Undergraduate Admissions
429 N. Guadalupe Street
San Marcos, TX 78666-5709

Pay $60 application fee

* If you were accepted to Texas State for a previous semester, please skip to Step 3 to determine the status of your admission file.

 Step 2

Monitor Admission Status online:

http://www.admissions.txstate.edu/asc
(You will also receive an Acceptance/Denial Letter within 3 weeks)

 Step 3

After acceptance is verified above, schedule appointment with an RRHEC Academic Advisor:

Call 716-4040 to schedule an appointment. The advisor will review your transfer courses, determine how they may apply toward the degree, and determine your eligibility to begin taking the junior and senior level courses that Texas State offers at the RRHEC.

Step 4

After meeting, the advisor will inform you of your next step:

Attend the the New Student Orientation (NSO) OR Defer your Admissions File to a New Semester.

Need Financial Aid? If you currently have 45+ hours, we recommend that you submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov and include Texas State’s school code: 003615.

Note: If you already completed FAFSA for a different institution, be sure to update it with Texas State’s school code to the current FAFSA by selecting “Make Corrections to a processed FAFSA”.
