How do I get started at The RRHEC?

Verify major is available at the RRHEC: www.rrhec.txstate.edu/about/programs/bachelors

Attend College Planning Information Session at the RRHEC (optional, but recommended if you have any questions - www.rrhec.txstate.edu/about/events/cpis.html

Obtain Transfer Planning Guide (TPG) for your specific major or the “Worksheet for Advisement” if you are an Education major planning to obtain Teacher Certification in Early childhood-4th Grade). Use the appropriate document to select your courses at a community college. Apply to the local community college and begin completing the lower level course work (courses with 1000 & 2000 designations) listed on the degree plan.

After you have completed the admission process with the local community college, begin selecting courses from the TPG for your major. Be sure to ONLY take the courses you know for certain that you have NOT completed at your previous institution. Once you have completed most of the courses listed on the TPG, contact us for a Transfer Checklist and then apply to Texas State and officially meet with one of our staff for further guidance.
