Open to all newly admitted students. Undergraduate students planning to attend classes at the RRHEC in the Fall of 2008 are required to attend this orientation, or a NSO in San Marcos. Graduate students are also encouraged to attend NSO.

Are you interested in becoming a teacher?  Have you already completed a Bachelor's Degree?  Then this session is for you!

Texas State University offers a traditional teacher education preparation program.  Students in our program must complete the following requirements:

• University-based coursework
• Field experiences in the public schools
• One semester of full-time, unpaid student teaching
• State mandated certification examinations

All students must attend a mandatory information session to apply to any of our post-graduate programs.
