We are pleased you are planning to complete your coursework at Texas State’s Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC). The Texas State advisors at the RRHEC pre-screen all newly admitted undergraduate students to determine eligibility to register for the upper-level courses here.
Students accepted to Texas State who have already earned a Bachelor’s degree are not required to attend NSO. (Click Graduate NSO if you desire further information on the orientation process and attendance.)
New Student Orientation will be held at the RRHEC:
Undergraduate Transfer Students:
To be eligible to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) session at Round Rock you must be accepted to Texas State University-San Marcos for a future 2010 semester. You must have also recently met with an advisor to receive approval to attend NSO.
Verify acceptance for Spring 2010:
You must be accepted to Texas State for one of the above listed semesters in order to be considered for NSO. Log in here to check your admissions status to verify your admissions file is complete and has been processed. If your file is incomplete, please complete your file and continue to monitor online. As soon as your status indicates you are accepted, please return here to determine if an advising appointment is required.
Meet with an advisor and receive approval to attend NSO:
The advisors at the RRHEC will review how your transfer courses may be utilized toward your degree plan and determine what prerequisites you may be lacking. The advisor will then either register you to attend NSO or defer your admissions file to a future semester so you do not need to reapply or pay another application fee.
