NSO - Graduate Students

Round Rock Higher Education Center

New Graduate Students*

Congratulations! If you are newly admitted and intend to complete your degree at Texas State’s Round Rock Center, you've come to the right place!

If you have any questions on your acceptance to Texas State University contact the Graduate College at 512-245-2581 or the liaison located at the RRHEC Kristi Rickman at 512-716-4022.

Steps for a smooth start at the RRHEC:

Step 1: View the Schedule of Classes online.

Step 2: Explore the recommended sequencing of the courses for your program prior to registering for classes

Step 3: Contact your Graduate Advisor or the Department with any questions about the courses or the sequencing (especially if unavailable on Department website)

Step 4: Establish your CatsWeb PIN number, create your Texas State Username and Password and then Register for your classes during Advance Registration (otherwise you will have to wait until Late Registration)

Step 5: Be familiar with the RRHEC Policies: no smoking, parking permits required, order textbooks online, last day to pay for registration, payment options at the RRHEC, establish Texas State Email Account, etc. (All of this information will be covered during our New Student Orientation (NSO) at the RRHEC. Attending NSO is not required for newly admitted graduate students, but it is recommended).

Step 6: RSVP to attend New Student Orientation (NSO) at the RRHEC.

Step 7: Attend NSO on the appropriate day
