We are pleased you are planning to complete your coursework at Texas State’s Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC). The Texas State advisors at the RRHEC pre-screen all newly admitted undergraduate students to determine eligibility to register for the upper-level courses here.
Students accepted to Texas State who already have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree and will be attending the RRHEC for graduate level work are invited to attend the NSO, but are not required. (Click Graduate NSO if you desire further information.)
To be eligible to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) session at Round Rock you must be accepted to Texas State University-San Marcos for one of the 2010 future semesters, and you must have met with an advisor since the beginning of this semester.
The advisors at the RRHEC will review how your transfer courses may be utilized toward the degree and also determine what prerequisites you may still be lacking. The advisor will then either register you to attend NSO or defer your admissions file to a future semester so you do not need to reapply or pay another application fee.
